About Larry -
I am a retired full-time resident of Lake Havasu City. I have always been drawn to art and as a young adult I would draw everything I saw. When I was about 20 my mother bought a cheap art box with oils and some brushes and announced she was going to paint when she retired. She passed unexpectantly when I was 25 and I inherited the art box. Life moved forward and I stopped drawing until, at the age of 30, I picked up my mom’s box and decided not to wait until I retired. I took a painting course at the local community college and painted a few things. Life struck again and I stopped painting. Around 60 I began to paint and took a few lessons from other artists. I have been painting ever since. My artistic philosophy is if it piques your interest, paint it! I do not have a specific style and paint whatever strikes my fancy in whatever medium I feel fits the theme. I enjoy all mediums however, watercolor is my favorite.
