About Sharon -
As a little girl, Sharon Congrove watched her grandmother create beautiful paintings in oils and pastels. Her grandmother, Katherine Bauer, an accomplished artist living in Glendale, California, shared her love for art with Sharon by taking her to art shows and teaching her how to draw and paint. The early lessons created a desire in Sharon to become an artist, and inspired her style of painting.
Sharon’s paintings are realistic in manner and reflect her love of color and nature. She frequently travels, photographing subject matter for her paintings. She loves the feeling of creating ideas and watching them come to life in a painting.
Locally, her painting won Best of Show in the Havasu Regional Medical Center’s art contest, where her painting will be permanently displayed at the hospital entrance lobby. She is also a member of the Havasu Art Guild. Her work has appeared at the Art Guild’s annual juried Art at the Lake Show receiving First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Award of Merit in watercolor.
