I always strived to do functional wheel thrown pottery that could be used in our everyday lives. I took great pride in my ability to throw, trim, make handles, glaze and decorate. I made my own glazes and had a fully equipped studio when we lived in Idaho. Besides using a kiln, I did wood fired pottery, Raku and horsehair pottery. I never sold any of my pottery that wasn’t up to my personal high standards. I sold my wares in juried craft shows in Wyoming,Colorado and my home state of Idaho. Ceramics, even after thousands of years of development, remains endlessly fascinating to myself as an artist.
