Havasu Art Trail is accepting artists applications for the 2023 event.

The second annual event will be February 25th and 26th, 2023.

Saturday’s hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday’s from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Havasu Art Trail (HAT) is an Arizona non-profit corporation working to promote the art and artists of Lake Havasu City, AZ.  Our purpose is to elevate the art community of our town, to bring a greater awareness of the local talented artists, showcase their work, and offer a resource for the public to reach those artists year-round. We are a group of three directors and several volunteers working without compensation.

Our signature event is an annual “Trail” from artist to artist in which they show and sell their works of art. The inaugural event had 49 artists located at 21 venues around town and more than 400 members of the public checking out the wonderful art! The second annual event will be February 25th and 26th, 2023. Saturday’s hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday’s from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  HAT will provide free maps to the public and advertise and promote the event. Artists and homeowners are required to follow all applicable laws and ensure they have adequate insurance.

To qualify as eligible to be part of the Havasu Art Trail you must be an artist or pair of artists who create and sell their original, tangible visual artwork. Temporary residents are welcome to participate if you are here during Trail dates.

Havasu Art Trail has created a website to profile each participating artist, including examples of their work and contact information. For the Trail event we encourage artists to cluster together, so the public can reach as many artists as possible over the course of the 2 days.  Since most of these locations will be homes, we will fall under the city’s home-based business regulations, and location advertising must be limited to a short period of time.  We will publish the online map beginning February 11th and remove it from the website on the 27th. Free printed maps will be available at select locations starting February 18th. We will advertise the event through multiple avenues, including social media, the White Sheet, radio PSA’s and local newspapers.

FEE STRUCTURE - In order to cover our costs, we must charge a fee. For this season there are 2 options – Individual or Pair.  The individual artist fee is $50. The fee for a pair is $75.  Pairs are those people who work together as a unit, creating art together as a single entity or under one brand.  This might include a married couple, a set of siblings or a partnership. A pair is treated as one artist entity on the website and on the event Trail. If a couple are both artists, but work in different disciplines, they are not considered a pair, but two individuals, and are not eligible for the pair fee.

Youth and Pro Bono applicants will be considered under special conditions. Please contact us to discuss these options.

Included with the fee, each artist’s or pair’s profile will remain on the website through September 2023. Those not renewing for 2024 will be archived as 2023 participants.  2024 fees are yet to be determined.

Each artist must agree to the Terms page of the application and provide a signed copy with their payment. Those artists who violate the terms will not be asked to renew their participation for 2024.

For the website artist profile page we require the same information of each participant or pair, including an artist photo, and up to 10 photos of their original artwork.  This maintains visual continuity of the site.  The artist portrait will allow members of the public to recognize you, and see your art.  In addition to the basic information, you can include links to external websites, galleries and your social media identities as part of your profile.

It is very important to give us the information in the order requested, via email, please.  This allows us to copy and paste the information into the website with as little typing, and chance for error, as possible. The first section is the ‘public’ portion of the form, and what will be used for the website.  As contact information you can include your email address, and/or phone number.  Addresses are not acceptable for home-based businesses.  Only list that which you want the public to know. Find my art at is used for galleries, co-ops, websites, and social media accounts. Later in the form we ask for your email and phone number for our records.  Those are private unless you tell us otherwise.

The photos of your artwork will only be for promotion of you and HAT.  All copyright ownership remains with the original artist. We need individual images, and we need to know which you would like to use as your primary image. Please remember, these photos are how the public will perceive you and your art.  They are your first and lasting impression. High resolution digital images from a camera or cell phone are required.  Please take these photos as individual images of your art with a neutral, uncluttered background in a well-lit area.  Provide us with the highest resolution available. It may be necessary to email 1 or 2 images at a time, so you do not have to reduce the file size of the photo.  Vignettes of groups of items are usually not appropriate for the website.  We may edit your photos by cropping, straightening or minor flaw removal to best suit the website, but we are limited by the images you provide to us.

Our website is created and maintained by a site builder that specializes in the needs of photographers. We have found their services to work well for artists, as we can utilize many high-resolution images.

Those who sign on for the event, pay their fees and cannot participate on the actual Trail dates will remain on the website as compensation for their fees. We will make every attempt possible to omit anyone who has an emergency from appearing on the final maps released to the public.

Please join us for the 2023 Havasu Art Trail as an artist participant!
